How It Works

Plan. Forecast. Prove.

Three phases. One system. Every event.

Plan

Set intent before a dollar is spent.

Define the intent, what success looks like, and what it should cost. Dott captures goals, budget, and team in one place.

Forecast

Track spend and model outcomes in real time.

See budget vs. forecast as it happens. Set targets for pipeline, meetings, and ROI so the whole team is aligned before the event.

Prove

Turn results into a score the whole team understands.

Dott compiles outcomes, spend, and evidence into one number (0–100). Use it to decide: do this event again, adjust the approach, or cut it.

The Formula
Pre-Event × 0.4 + Efficiency + Post-Event × 0.6 = Combined Score

Pre-Event and Post-Event are weighted 40/60, with Efficiency funneling into both. The Combined Score reflects what happened — before, during, and after the event.

Pre-Event Score

Measures planning. Were clear goals set? Budgets locked? Success defined before the event? The Pre-Event Score grades the intent behind the event.

Efficiency Score

Measures operations. Were timelines met? Did spending stay on budget? Were roles and responsibilities clear? The Efficiency Score grades how the event was run.

Post-Event Score

Measures delivery. Were targets hit? Outcomes captured? Proof documented? The Post-Event Score grades what the event actually delivered.

Combined Score

The full picture. ROI measures the return. ROX measures the experience. One number from 0–100 that captures both — so the whole team can decide: do this event again, adjust the approach, or cut it.

Founder · 20+ years running events · X · LinkedIn

I built this system because I needed it.

I've run events at every scale — 20-person dinners to multi-thousand-person conferences. I've chased Slack threads at midnight. Assembled recap decks the morning after. Defended budgets with incomplete data and justified events I was asked to run in the first place.

The system I needed didn't exist. So I built it.

Dott doesn't replace event teams — it gives them superpowers. You can't automate a handshake. But you can automate the process and the proof, so operators spend less time on spreadsheets and more time on the moments that matter.
